Why Eating at Your Desk encourages you to Eat More

Sometimes too much work can pose great danger to our health without even noticing it. Some workaholic person opts not to leave their desk during break time just finished their daily task on time. But then such practice is not commendable; most especially if you are trying to be fit and healthy

Recent research has indicated that if you don’t take a break for lunch and continue sitting at your desk, taking in calories but burning none, you are likelier to put on weight. Those who eat at their desk, consume more calories since they may have more snacks during the day.



In other Asian traditional culture, eating is not just a way of filling in foods to your empty stomach.  Haven’t you noticed the way feng shui strategically placed dining room furniture and calendars and clocks and television has no place in a dining room. Rational as it may sound, feng shui philosophy believes that eating is an intimate rites wherein one should avoid any distraction to feel the taste and texture of the food, in that way, one can easily distinguish if she had enough of the food or not. With this premise, I so see a rational and sensible reason.

Cognition, memory and attention play a significant role in governing people’s appetite as well as the size of their meal, researchers claim. How cans someone know that she got the bowl-full food when she busy checking out her paper works on the computer? The same logic holds true when someone is eating while watching television. Maybe one can noticed who she pig out on popcorns once the huge bowl was empty. 
Those who ate without distractions, felt fuller with the same amount of food than those who were eating while working on their desk.
